The story of Paul Boyle
Paul Boyle, a graduate of theology, came to Africa in his early twenties and spent much of his life here and in the Middle East working in conflict and war zones. (The Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, Northern Uganda, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Burundi). Having seen, experienced and lived through the worst atrocities known to man for over 20 years, he succumbed to severe trauma and CPTSD. He returned to Europe, seeking interventions that could heal his fragile and vulnerable state of mind. None worked. He trained as a therapist himself in Ireland in 1997 and graduated in Development Studies in Kimmage, Dublin. He worked tirelessly towards creating a programme that would prove successful and have a lasting impact on those who need healing from trauma and PTSD. In 2001 he founded a Trauma Healing Programme for Leaders in North and South Sudan known as Healing the Healers: A New Hope for Africa, and in 2006 he launched Holistic Trauma Healing. Albain Company was launched in 2007 in Kenya.
