
Trauma Therapist, CBT Practitioner & Post-Conflict Recovery Specialist
David supports children, adults and professionals affected by trauma, conflict, adverse childhood experiences and addiction to rebuild emotional stability, resilience and wellbeing.
David Ayora is a trauma therapist and CBT practitioner with 31 years of service supporting people affected by conflict, adversity and psychological distress. His work centres on post-conflict recovery, addiction counselling, emotional regulation, cognitive restructuring and emotional processing.
David currently serves as Executive PA and a member of the Academic Committee at Kabianga Boys High School, where he contributes to the mental wellbeing of more than 2,700 students. He has also supported more than 179 girls through GLOW Girls, addressing the effects of adverse childhood experiences.
His international career includes United Nations peacekeeping and peacebuilding missions in Sudan and Sierra Leone and service at CoESPU in Italy. David holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Armed Conflict and Peace Studies. He is completing a PhD focused on the mental health of conflict-affected populations.
